April 8 & 9: Stake Conference

Elder Ralph L. Dewsnup of the Seventy spoke both last night and this morning. He focused his message on the miracles of the modern dispensation. He spoke of the miracle of the translation and publication of the Book of Mormon and then the miracle that we can all carry a device that gives us those sacred words within seconds.
He asked the congregation Saturday night for responses to his question, "What evidence is there that the Lord is hastening the work and His coming?"
People responded with the number of temples on the Earth, the Book of Mormon publications in foreign languages, the missionary age change, the amount of LDS materials on the web and apps, the worldwide broadcasting of General Conference, the publication, The Family: A Proclamation to the World, the missionary study guide Preach My Gospel, the amount of missions around the world, the different nations that are open to the church when they weren't before, the opportunity to use video chat to meet the missionaries, the Mormon Messages, the Mormon Channel videos, and other things that I failed to write down.
I have a few evidences of my own that I didn't feel comfortable sharing because it required more explanation.

I will list them here:

• the increase in service opportunities for disabled missionaries
• the increase the service opportunities for members
• the refugee effort
• the comforting material written and spoken concerning mental health
• the tolerant yet moral example of Jesus Christ repeated in our church leaders
• the globalization focus in the COB
• COB business meetings that begin with a prayer
• the supervisors and managers at the COB
• the church employees that willingly repair language issues sometimes without pay to do so

I am so grateful everyday for small and large miracles in the modern day world and the modern day Church of Jesus Christ.
