Issue of the Week 23 Oct 2017

2 Nephi 12:9 has a translation inconsistency in Spanish and Portuguese. This scripture is quoting Isaiah 2:9.

"And the mean man boweth not down, and the great man humbleth himself not, therefore, forgive him not."

In French, Romanian, Lithuanian, Russian, Polish, and many others, "mean" is translated using the English meaning as "average" or "plain".

In Spanish and Portuguese, "mean" is translated using the English meaning as "evil" or "vile".

We will have the Sacred Materials translators look at this today, but it is an interesting translation confusion.
